SERIAN: The strong turnout of Dayak leaders at the Bukit Semuja Gawai Dayak 2026 celebration has served as a powerful testament to the unity and solidarity of the Dayak community in advancing the state's development agenda towards realising the Sarawak Maju 2030 aspirations.
Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said the coming together of Dayak leaders and the community was vital to ensuring that all government-planned development agendas could be carried out effectively and deliver tangible benefits to the people.
He said the commitment shown by Dayak leaders in backing government policies and initiatives reflected a collective resolve to develop Sarawak into a more progressive and competitive state.
"The presence of Dayak leaders at this celebration proves that there exists a strong mutual understanding, unity and consensus in championing a shared mission and agenda, that of realising the Sarawak Maju 2030 vision," he said.
He was speaking at the Bukit Semuja Gawai Dayak 2026 celebration held at Dewan Babuk Salog, Kampung Riih Daso, on Monday.
He also called on the Dayak community to continue upholding the spirit of unity and cooperation, which he described as the cornerstone of the state's stability and progress.
