Programme 'Pulse90: Dance and Burn' Promotes Healthy Living
SIMANGGANG: The Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Bandar Sri Aman, in collaboration with the Bandar Benak Aerobics Club (KSBB), organised the 'Pulse90: Dance and Burn' programme on Saturday.
Held at Dewan Suarah Sri Aman and attracting approximately 160 participants, the event was officially opened by the Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis.
KSBB Chairman Mohamad Marzuki Mokti said the programme is one of the club's initiatives to promote and cultivate a healthy and active lifestyle among the Sri Aman community.
He added that such activities help build a healthier, more active population and raise awareness of the importance of personal well-being.
In his opening speech, Datuk Francis stated that community participation in programmes like this is essential for reducing the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
"NCDs include diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and triglycerides, obesity, heart disease, and stroke.
"Transform yourselves by taking part in healthy lifestyle activities so that we can stay healthy and avoid these dangerous illnesses," he said.
Datuk Francis, who is also the Simanggang Assemblyman, announced an allocation of RM5,000 under the 2026 Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant for the KSBB. -UKASnews
