LCDA Celebrates Staff Excellence, Unity & 45th Anniversary Milestone At Appreciation Night 2025
KUCHING: The Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) celebrated the dedication and achievements of its workforce during the LCDA Appreciation Night 2025 held at Grand Margherita Hotel on Friday evening.
The event was officiated by LCDA General Manager, Datu Sr Zaidi Mahdi, who also led the closing of the Karnival Sukan Piala Datu GM LCDA 2025, marking the conclusion of this year’s sports activities for the organisation.
In his speech, Datu Zaidi expressed pride in the commitment and professionalism consistently demonstrated by LCDA staff, noting that their contributions have been essential in driving the organisation’s programmes, initiatives and overall performance.
He highlighted that the strong sense of teamwork, be it at the workplace or on the sports field, reflects the unity and family spirit that defines LCDA’s culture.
“All of this shows the spirit of togetherness within LCDA, and for those who work hard and play hard, everything is done with a sense of family. We play hard, we work harder,” he said.
The evening also honoured staff achievements across multiple categories.
A total of 18 personnel received the Excellent Service Award, while 79 were recognised for their long service.
Nine retirees were acknowledged through the Special Appreciation Award, and 17 children of LCDA employees were celebrated under the LCDA Children’s Excellence Award.
A key highlight of the night was the launch of the LCDA 45th Anniversary logo, which marks the organisation’s upcoming milestone celebration in 2026.
Attended by 250 officers and staff from LCDA and its group of companies, the event featured performances, award presentations and the sports carnival finale, further strengthening camaraderie and appreciation within the LCDA family. -UKASnews
