Bee Happy Camp Strengthens Community Network, Drives Human Capital Development
MIRI: The Bee Happy Camp self-development programme serves as an impactful platform for strengthening community networks and enhancing soft skills through a more structured social development approach.
Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (Tourism) and Piasau Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, stated that such initiatives are vital in building strong social relationships and supporting comprehensive community development.
He said this while attending the Closing Ceremony of the Bee Happy Camp course at Dynasty Hotel on Friday, in conjunction with the 2026 World Workers' Day Celebration.
The programme, organised by the SUPP Piasau Branch in collaboration with the Miri Youth Activity Centre (MYAC) and the Miri Toastmasters Association, emphasises self-development and the strengthening of participants' communication skills.
According to him, the continuous commitment of the committee members, the women's and youth wings, as well as SUPP Piasau members, has been a catalyst for the successful implementation of impactful community programmes.
“Programmes like this must be continued as they are capable of strengthening bonds of friendship and providing benefits to the community,” he said.
He added that a human capital development-based approach through community programmes can produce a more resilient, skilled, and progressive society.
