SIBU: Sarawak Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development and Nangka Assemblyman, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, along with Bukit Assek Assemblyman, Joseph Chieng Jin Ek, went on the ground to inspect the progress of the Surau Ansorullah construction project at Kampung Saujana, Jalan Jerewit, on Saturday.
The visit aimed to personally observe the project's progress status and receive the latest briefing from the implementing parties.
According to Datuk Dr Annuar, the construction of the surau is vital as a center for worship and community activities, particularly for the residents of Kampung Saujana and its surrounding areas.
He hopes the project can be completed on schedule so that the facility can be utilised by residents in the near future.
At the same time, he emphasised the importance of close cooperation between the contractor, the village committee, and relevant agencies to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.
The inspection reflects the ongoing commitment of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) representatives in ensuring that the development of public and religious facilities continues to be strengthened for the wellbeing of the people.
For the record, the Sarawak Government has approved an allocation of RM1.2 million for the construction of Surau Ansorullah, which is expected to be a catalyst for strengthening religious and social activities as well as fostering closer ties among the local residents.-UKASnews
