Dalat Assemblywoman Reaches Out To House Collapse Victims, Provides Immediate Assistance
DALAT: Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development and Dalat Assemblywoman, Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah, went on the ground to reach out to the family of the house collapse victims in Kampung Bakong Hilir on Saturday.
When met, she stated that the visit was intended to personally observe the condition of the affected family and to ensure that immediate assistance is channeled quickly and effectively.
In the incident, the kitchen section of the house belonging to Yusuf Long was reported to have collapsed completely, consequently affecting the condition of the family's residence.
Following the incident, several forms of assistance were presented to lighten the victims' burden, including a RM300 cash contribution from the Social Welfare Department (JKM) through the Immediate Assistance Fund.
In addition, the involved family received aid from the Dalat Service Centre, food baskets, and Petronas kits to meet temporary basic needs.
Dato Sri Fatimah emphasised that the distribution of this immediate aid is vital to ensure the victims' welfare remains protected, especially when facing emergency situations such as this.-UKASnews
