Governor Of Sarawak & Wife Attend Haji Send-off Ceremony At Al-Muflihin Mosque In Sebuyau
SEBUYAU: The Governor of Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi graced the Haji Send-off Ceremony at the Al-Muflihin Mosque here on Saturday.
The arrival of the couple and their delegation was warmly welcomed by the mosque committee and congregants before they performed the Maghrib prayer together.
Also in attendance were the Sarawak Minister for Utility and Telecommunication and Sebuyau Assemblyman Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi, Samarahan Division Resident Mohamad Irwan Bahari Bujang, and Sebuyau District Officer Ayuradiman Bujang.
The programme began with the congregational Maghrib prayer, followed by a religious talk titled "Pursuing a Mabrur Haji" delivered by the Samarahan Division Religious Officer Ustaz Bahrin Kawi.
Prior to performing the congregational Isyak prayer, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi presented a contribution to the Al-Muflihin Mosque Management Committee as a sign of support for efforts to empower religious activities and enliven the mosque in the area.
The presentation of the contribution reflects the continuous commitment of the state leadership in assisting mosque institutions as centres for spiritual development and community unity.
After the congregational Isyak prayer, the couple and fellow guests attended a dinner with the community in an atmosphere of harmony and brotherhood.
The dinner brought together the local community from various backgrounds and races, reflecting the harmony and strong spirit of unity among the people of Sebuyau.-UKASnews
