Kumang Pageant A Platform To Showcase Customs, Heritage Of Dayak Community
SONG: The Kumang pageant does not merely highlight the beauty of its contestants, but also serves as an important platform to showcase the customs, culture, and heritage of the Dayak community to the younger generation.
Minister for Works and Member of Parliament for Kapit, Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, stated that such programmes play a major role in ensuring that the cultural identity of the Dayak community is continuously preserved and not lost to time.

"This programme is highly beneficial in maintaining our customs and culture so that they do not fade away with time," he said at the Song District-level Mantar Gawai Dayak Dinner at the Song Community Hall on Saturday.
