214 Civil Servants Conferred Loyal Service Medals In Bintulu
BINTULU: Some 214 Sarawak and Federal civil servants from various departments and agencies in the state received Loyal Service Medals in recognition of their dedication, commitment and contributions towards strengthening public service delivery.
Bintulu Division Deputy Resident Abang Zainuddin Abang Turkey topped the list of recipients after serving 30 years in the civil service.
The medals were presented by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg at a ceremony held here on Friday.
Other recipients included 10 staff from the Bintulu Division Resident's Office, 24 from the Forest Department Sarawak, three from the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak, three from the Land and Survey Department Sarawak and seven from the Department of Agriculture Sarawak.
Also honoured were 48 recipients from the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA), three recipients from the Malaysian Immigration Department Sarawak, six from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) Sarawak, 38 from the Sarawak State Health Department and 73 recipients from the Sarawak State Education Department.
Also present were Sarawak Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar, Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development Datuk Majang Renggi and heads of departments. -UKASnews
