Two Mega Projects To Drive Development Of Bandar Mutiara Tebedu
TEBEDU: A total of RM295,000 in Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocations was channelled to 59 Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) in the Tebedu constituency during the Pra Gawai Rando Tebedu 2026 celebration held at the Tebedu District Office grounds on Friday.
Tebedu Assemblyman, Dr Simon Sinang Bada, said the assistance is aimed at helping the JKKK implement various community programmes and development needs in their respective villages.
Meanwhile, he also announced that Bandar Mutiara Tebedu will receive two mega projects this year, namely the construction of Dataran Mutiara Tebedu and the Economic and Cultural Hub.
According to him, the projects will be implemented under the allocation of the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) and are expected to become catalysts for economic development as well as new growth centres in the Tebedu border area.
The event also recorded appreciation for Serian Division Resident, Caroline Cleophas Joseph, for her service and contributions throughout her tenure in the Serian Division before moving to a new ministry beginning June 15.
The Pra Gawai celebration not only served as a platform to strengthen community ties, but also reflected the spirit of unity and close cooperation between leaders and the people ahead of the Gawai Dayak celebration.
Also present were Tebedu District Officer Gerard George Entigar, Pemanca Kane Manung, as well as penghulus and village chiefs. -UKASnews
