Sarawak Governor Calls On Sultan Of Brunei, Strengthens Sarawak-Brunei Bilateral Ties
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, called on Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, as well as Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, at Istana Nurul Iman here on Wednesday.
Also present at the audience were Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and his wife, Dato Dayang Morliah Awang Daud.
The audience, which lasted about 30 minutes, reflected the close friendship and strong mutual understanding between Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on various matters of mutual interest, particularly efforts to strengthen cooperation in areas that could benefit the people and development of both sides.
The meeting also reflected the continued commitment of both sides to further strengthen the long-standing bilateral relationship and explore new avenues of cooperation for the benefit of both nations. -UKASnews
