Preparations For SKS Sri Aman Underway, Focus On Delivering Government Services To The People
SRI AMAN: Preparations for the Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) 2026 Sri Aman Division programme are being fine-tuned through close coordination among ministries, departments and agencies to ensure the effective and orderly delivery of government services to the people.
Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel said the cooperation of all parties is crucial to ensuring the programme, scheduled to be held from 25 to 27 September, achieves its intended objectives.
He said this when chairing the SKS 2026 Sri Aman Division Programme (Southern Zone) Divisional Committee Coordination Meeting at Wisma SADA here on Wednesday.
The meeting also reviewed the latest progress as well as the status of preparations and implementation plans through briefings by the Sri Aman Division Resident's Office and the Sarawak Implementation Monitoring Unit (SIMU) as the implementing committee.
Discussions focused on programme management, security arrangements, the participation of government agencies and the involvement of the local community to ensure the smooth implementation of the programme.
Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah also urged all committees to carry out their respective responsibilities proactively and diligently to ensure every component of the programme delivers meaningful benefits to the people.
Following the meeting, he and his delegation visited several venues to assess the suitability of the facilities, site layout, participant movement and logistical requirements.
The SKS 2026 Sri Aman Division programme will be held at the Sri Aman Sports Complex from 25 to 27 September.
The programme serves as a platform for the Sarawak Government to bring its services closer to the people, while providing the public with the opportunity to learn more about the various development and wellbeing initiatives introduced by the government.
It is also expected to strengthen engagement between government agencies and the local community, making it easier for the public to access services and information relevant to their needs. -UKASnews
