SELANGOR: The participation of the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) delegation in the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026 opened up space to explore innovation, new opportunities and strategic networks that could potentially support economic development and community well-being in Sri Aman Division.

SADA Chairwoman Dato Sri Rohani Abdul Karim said the official working visit to Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) on 29 to 30 August focused on efforts to identify appropriate approaches and initiatives to be adapted according to local development needs.

According to her, the visit must produce tangible follow-up actions so that the knowledge, innovation and experience gained can be translated into real benefits.

"This visit is not just an official visit or just for fun. What is most important is the tangible results and follow-up actions from what we are exploring here, so that it can be adapted for the benefit and development of the Sri Aman Division as a whole," she said.

The visit also served as a platform for the delegation to examine the latest developments in the agriculture, horticulture and agrotourism sectors, in addition to exchanging views and building networks with various related parties.

Also joining the delegation were SADA Special Administrative Officer Alfred Geling, Sri Aman District Officer Shariff Bujang, Pantu District Officer Raca Mulong, Sri Aman Public Works Department (JKR) Divisional Engineer Ts Lenny Busuri and representatives of the Ministry for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP), Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) and SADA Secretariat.

Discoveries, knowledge sharing and strategic networks acquired throughout MAHA 2026 will be refined to identify their potential implementation in an effort to boost local economic development and improve the well-being of the community in Sri Aman Division. -UKASnews
