KUCHING: A UNICEF delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) to strengthen collaboration in the aspects of promotion, coverage and implementation of programmes related to child well-being in the state.

The visit, led by UNICEF Head of Communications, Nico Manos Wieland, was welcomed by UKAS Director, Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan.

During the visit, both parties also discussed efforts to improve the effectiveness of information delivery and joint communication strategies to support child advocacy initiatives in Sarawak.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen the dissemination of child development messages and strengthen the implementation of programs through more planned and impactful communication support.

Also present at the courtesy visit were Communications Specialist (Media & Advocacy) Sri Gayathri V Velayutham, Communications Officer Meena Sundramohana, Corporate Communications Partner from Rashomon PR (Borneo) Sdn Bhd, Azreen Mohamed and UKAS officers. -UKASnews
