Seven Rural Projects Boost Community Facilities In Opar
LUNDU: Rural development in Opar continues to progress with seven new and upgraded infrastructure projects implemented across several villages.
The visit was led by Opar Assemblyman Billy Sujang, who said the projects demonstrate the state government’s ongoing commitment to improving essential village facilities, ensuring safer access, better community spaces and stronger support for local activities.
Key works include the upgrading of the parking area and multipurpose hall at Kampung Raso 2, improved road access in Kampung Raso 1, and upgraded community halls in Kampung Simpang Bokah, Kampung Sebandi Hilir and Kampung Senibong.
Residents of Kampung Sebako 2 also benefit from the upgraded Sungai Pate agricultural road, which enhances mobility and supports local farming activities.
Billy thanked JKR, contractors and the community for their cooperation, adding that rural development remains a priority for ensuring continued progress in Opar.
