SMK Bandar Bintangor Strengthens Holistic Education With Students’ Achievements
MERADONG: SMK Bandar Bintangor marked a proud milestone as outstanding student achievements were recognised during the 2025 Excellence Awards Ceremony, underscoring the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, resilient and values-driven learners.
The ceremony was officiated by Meradong Assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing on Friday, who commended the school community for cultivating academic excellence alongside leadership, co-curricular involvement and character development among students.
In his address, Datuk Ding said the awards reflected not only results in the classroom, but also perseverance, discipline and diverse talents, which he described as essential qualities for young people navigating an increasingly demanding world.
He urged students to remain courageous, creative and steadfast, noting that success belongs to those who persist with strong determination.
He also paid tribute to teachers for their unwavering dedication, describing educators as mentors who guide, support and shape students beyond textbooks.
Datuk Ding expressed confidence that the teaching team at SMK Bandar Bintangor, under the leadership of its new principal, would continue to drive the school forward with strong commitment and passion.
Acknowledging the role of families, Datuk Ding highlighted parents as key partners in education, whose sacrifices, encouragement and prayers form the foundation of their children’s success.
He added that close collaboration with the Parents and Teachers Association remains vital in ensuring a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Reaffirming his support for education development in the constituency, Datuk Ding announced that 12 LCD projectors would be provided for the Form Five and Form Six halls before the new school term begins.
He also approved a special Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant of RM5,000 to support the school’s annual activities for 2025.
He expressed confidence that SMK Bandar Bintangor would continue to progress by strengthening academic programmes, expanding co-curricular opportunities and enriching students’ character development, with the aim of producing graduates who are not only academically capable, but also principled, empathetic and resilient.
The ceremony concluded with words of compliments to all recipients of the 2025 Excellence Awards, with Datuk Ding encouraging them to use the recognition as motivation to pursue greater aspirations and a brighter future. -UKASnews
