MBKS Staff Donate Blood In Support Of Life-Saving Cause
KUCHING: Staff of the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) once again demonstrated their strong sense of social responsibility by participating in the Annual Blood Donation Campaign held on Thursday in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Sarawak General Hospital.
MBKS Mayor, Dato Wee Hong Seng, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Blood Bank of Sarawak General Hospital for their continued partnership in organising this meaningful initiative.
He also commended the MBKS staff who voluntarily came forward to donate blood, describing their participation as a noble act of compassion that directly contributes to saving lives.
"Blood donation is one of the simplest yet most impactful acts of kindness. By donating blood, our staff become silent heroes who offer hope and a second chance at life to patients in critical need," he said.
He added that the strong turnout reflected the caring spirit and unity among MBKS personnel in supporting the healthcare needs of the community.
Dato Wee highlighted that through this annual campaign, MBKS aims not only to contribute to maintaining a stable blood supply, but also to raise public awareness on the importance of regular blood donation and to encourage more healthy individuals to take part in this life-saving effort.
He also extended his gratitude to the dedicated medical team from the Blood Bank of Sarawak General Hospital for their professionalism and commitment in ensuring the smooth and safe conduct of the campaign.
The Mayor expressed hope that this meaningful collaboration would continue in the years to come, as it plays an important role in sustaining the blood supply while fostering a culture of care, generosity, and community solidarity among the public. - UKASnews
