JCI Batu Kawa Shows Support For Lions Club Of Kuching Lavender Charter Night
KUCHING: In line with its 2026 theme, “Just Connect — Connecting Community, Government and Business,” members of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Batu Kawa attended the Charter Night of Lions Club of Kuching Lavender on Monday to show their support for the formation of a new service club in Kuching.
The event marked the official chartering of Lions Club of Kuching Lavender, led by its Charter President Connie Tan, and was graced by District Governor 308-A2, Dato’ Winnie Lee Siew Ping.
JCI Batu Kawa was represented by President of JCI Batu Kawa for 2026, Justine Yong, who also serves as Lions Club International Region 1 Zone 1 Chairperson, together with JCI Batu Kawa members, including Vice President Community of JCI Batu Kawa, Joseph Ting Su Ho, who is also the Deputy Organising Chairperson and a Charter Member of Lions Club of Kuching Lavender.
Justine said that JCI Batu Kawa’s presence was to support friends and partners in the service community.
“Our theme this year is Just Connect — Connect with Community, Connect with Government, Connect with Business. We believe good things happen when organisations support each other. We are happy to support Lions Club of Kuching Lavender and wish them all the best.”
The attendance shows the good relationship between service organisations in Kuching and their shared goal of serving the community and developing future leaders.
