KUCHING: The Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) received a courtesy call from the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) Sarawak at the UKAS Headquarters, Baitul Makmur Building 1, here on Wednesday, in part of efforts to strengthen the strategic synergy between the two media agencies.

UKAS Director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan welcomed the presence of the BERNAMA Sarawak delegation led by BERNAMA Sarawak Bureau Chief Muhammad Ammar Shafiq Hamzah.

Also accompanying him were News Officers Rozlin Rusharmeen Rosmi, Anasathia Jenis and Zaphne Philip.

The meeting served as a platform to strengthen professional relationships as well as discuss potential collaboration in terms of coordinating coverage and delivering more comprehensive information to the public.

Through the visit, both parties reaffirmed their continued commitment to strengthening communication networks and increasing media synergy to ensure the delivery of accurate, authentic and impactful information to the people of Sarawak.

Also present were UKAS Deputy Director Mohamed Faizal Shah Ali, along with senior UKAS officers. -UKASnews
