SIBU: The welfare of orphans at the Juma'ani Tuanku Haji Bujang Welfare Complex (KKJTHB) Sibu continued to be made a focus through the organisation of the Presentation of Raya Contribution Programme by the Nangka Service Centre on Sunday.

This annual programme is a regular activity carried out by the Nangka Service Centre since Datuk Dr Annuar Rapa'ee was appointed as the elected representative in the area.

According to the Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, the organisation of the programme aims to foster goodwill, understanding and instill a sense of belonging between leaders and residents of KKJTHB, especially in celebrating the month of Ramadan.

"With this contribution, it is hoped that it can ease the burden of these orphans in preparing for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri," he explained.

Apart from presenting the donation, Datuk Dr Annuar also used the opportunity to personally review the current developments and physical needs at the KKJTHB centre to ensure the comfort of the residents.

Meanwhile, the residents of KKJTHB expressed their gratitude to Datuk Dr Annuar for the donation and continuous compassion paid to them all this while.

This contribution has given some joy to the orphans as they await the arrival of Eid. -UKASnews
