Llamalítica & SAIC Ink MoU To Advance AI-Driven Healthcare Transformation In Urban & Rural Communities
BARCELONA: Llamalítica, a Spanish company specialising in artificial intelligence solutions for the healthcare sector and the Sarawak Artificial Intelligence Centre (SAIC), an agency of the Sarawak Government have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development and implementation of AI-powered tools aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery and improving quality of life across both urban and rural communities.
According to a statement, this strategic agreement aligns with Sarawak’s broader digital transformation agenda and its ambition to position itself as a regional leader in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.
“The partnership was reinforced during Sarawak’s participation in the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, where the state showcased its investment priorities through 2030, with a strong focus on digital infrastructure, connectivity, artificial intelligence (AI) innovation, and technology-enabled public services,” it said on Thursday.
The collaboration between Llamalítica and SAIC is grounded in a shared vision, that is leveraging artificial intelligence to strengthen healthcare systems, promote equitable access to care, and improve clinical outcomes through scalable and adaptable digital solutions tailored to diverse demographic and geographic contexts.
SAIC Chief Executive Officer Professor Patrick Then emphasised that this collaboration reflects Sarawak’s broader strategic direction.
According to him, Sarawak is embarking on a game-changing journey by systematically leveraging artificial intelligence and other frontier technologies as key enablers of sustainable economic growth and digital excellence.
“Our focus is on building a robust, innovation-driven AI ecosystem that delivers measurable value across public services and industries, including healthcare.
“Through structured collaboration with reputable international partners such as Llamalítica, we aim to strengthen knowledge transfer, elevate quality standards, and enhance the global competitiveness of AI products and services developed in Sarawak.
“This partnership-driven approach accelerates talent development, fosters innovation, and ensures that our AI solutions meet international benchmarks while delivering meaningful impact to our communities,” he said.
