KUCHING: Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki received a courtesy call from a delegation from the Malaysian Information Department (JAPEN) Sarawak, led by its Director Sabri Said, at Wisma Bapa Malaysia on Thursday.

During the meeting, JAPEN Sarawak presented the department’s profile, an overview of its district information offices, as well as its communication programmes and initiatives for 2026 that involve collaboration with the Sarawak Government.

The visit aimed to strengthen strategic cooperation between the state government and JAPEN Sarawak, particularly in enhancing the dissemination of government information and promoting development programmes to the public.

Also present during the visit were Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) Director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan, JAPEN Sarawak Deputy Director Kestury Mohammed Zamhari, as well as several senior officers from JAPEN Sarawak and UKAS. -UKASnews
