Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Inspects RM36.9 Million Sungai Paku Bridge Construction Project
SPAOH: Sarawak Deputy Premier and Bukit Saban Assemblyman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas conducted a site visit on Saturday to inspect the progress of the Sungai Paku Bridge construction project along Jalan Tanjung Sebekut in Spaoh.
Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah, who also serves as Sarawak Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development, was accompanied by officers from several related agencies to personally observe the development of the infrastructure project.
The bridge construction project involves a total cost of RM36.9 million and is being supervised by the Public Works Department (JKR) Betong Division, which is acting as the Supervising Officer.
For the implementation of the project, Janje Consulting Engineer has been appointed as the project consultant, while DAL Keluarga Realty Sdn Bhd is serving as the main contractor.
The construction of the Sungai Paku Bridge is expected to bring significant benefits to the local community, particularly by improving connectivity, enhancing road user safety, and further stimulating economic development in the rural areas around Spaoh and the wider Betong Division. -UKASnews
