Sarawak Premier Visits Stutong Ramadan Bazaar, Encourages Digital Payments
KUCHING: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg took time to mingle with traders at the Stutong Ramadan Bazaar during a visit and walkabout on Saturday.
During the visit, he also interacted with traders while observing the wide variety of dishes being sold in conjunction with Ramadan.
Most traders at the bazaar were also seen offering QR code scanning facilities, making it easier for the public to carry out digital payments in a quicker and safer manner.
Interestingly, the Sarawak Premier also used the S Pay Global payment scanning service when making purchases at the bazaar, demonstrating his support for the use of cashless transactions among the public.
His presence drew the attention of many visitors, who were excited to see the state leader on the ground, further enlivening the atmosphere at the bazaar. -UKASnews
