Kota Sentosa Assemblyman Presents MRP Grant Contributions To Two Churches
KUCHING: Kota Sentosa Assemblyman Wilfred Yap has presented a total contribution of RM10,000 to two churches, BEM The Way and BEM Stutong Baru, as part of his continued support for community and faith-based organisations serving the people.
During the presentation ceremony, both BEM The Way and BEM Stutong Baru received RM5,000 each to support their ongoing church activities, community outreach programmes and welfare initiatives.
Wilfred said that churches and other religious organisations play an important role in strengthening community spirit, promoting compassion and providing assistance to those in need.
“Faith-based organisations have long been pillars of support in our community. Through their various programmes and volunteer efforts, they help foster unity, compassion and care for the less fortunate,” he said.
The Kota Sentosa Assemblyman added that he remains committed to supporting organisations that actively contribute to the social wellbeing and harmony of the community in Kota Sentosa.
He also expressed appreciation to the church leadership and volunteers of BEM The Way and BEM Stutong Baru for their dedication and service to the community.
“Community development is a shared responsibility. I look forward to continuing to work together with various organisations to build a caring, inclusive and harmonious society,” he said. - UKASnews
