Sungkai Ramadan Programme Strengthens Community Ties Among ‘Anak Jati Lawas’
KUCHING: The Sungkai Ramadan programme organised by the Persatuan Anak Jati Lawas in Kuching was held in a warm and united atmosphere with the presence of Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan who presented contributions to 55 recipients at Parimpan Cafe on Thursday.
The recipients included the Anak Jati Lawas community, asnaf, single mothers, orphans and the elderly, as well as students from Madrasah Darul Uloom Al-Fatah.
The event also featured a Ramadan tazkirah and recitation of prayers, followed by congregational Maghrib prayer and iftar.
The programme not only aimed to extend assistance to those in need but also served as a platform to strengthen ties among the Anak Jati Lawas community in Kuching during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The event also reflected the association’s commitment to fostering a spirit of togetherness and strengthening relationships among the Lawas community residing in Kuching. -UKASnews
