KUCHING: Retirees of the Sarawak Civil Service (SCS) are advised to update their personal information to enable verification and facilitate the payment process for the one-off Special Financial Assistance (BKK) for the year 2025 amounting to RM500 provided by the Sarawak Government.

According to the Human Resource Development and Management Unit (HRDM) of the Sarawak Premier’s Department, the BKK payment for SCS retirees will begin to be disbursed in March or April 2026.

This is subject to the eligibility criteria for the categories comprising permanent and pensionable appointments, Employees Provident Fund (EPF) scheme, permanent non-pensionable appointments, contribution-based positions and long-term contract appointments (until mandatory retirement age).

“Retirees are advised to update their personal details by scanning the QR code survey attached to the circular letter (reference 86/JPS/UPPSM/SSAA/500-3/25 dated 13 January 2026) to ensure smooth verification and payment arrangements,” it said in a media statement issued on Friday.
