Dr Sim Urges SUPP Bawang Assan To Engage Younger Generation
SIBU: Members of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bawang Assan branch have been urged to remain steadfast in serving the people and to stay attentive to the needs of the local community, particularly the younger generation.
Its president who is also Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian, also encouraged the team to actively listen to the ideas and perspectives of young people in Sibu, including creative thinking that could contribute to the development of the local economy and infrastructure.
“I would like to remind all SUPP Bawang Assan members to remain committed to delivering services to the people.
“Such dedication is not merely an effort for development today, but also to ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy a better Sarawak,” he said.
He said this while attending the SUPP Bawang Assan Branch mobile service session held at Yalin Coffee Shop here on Saturday.
During the visit, he took the opportunity to greet and interact with members of the public who were having breakfast at the coffee shop.
Meanwhile, SUPP Bawang Assan Branch chairman Councillor Kevin Lau said their return to Yalin Coffee Shop to conduct the mobile service was aimed at making it easier for residents to approach the team for assistance.
“Bringing services directly into the community makes it easier for residents to come to us whenever they encounter problems,” he said. -UKASnews
