Dato Sri Fatimah Reaches Out To 50 Single Mothers In Conjunction With Aidilfitri
KUCHING: A total of 50 single mothers were honoured at the Mita Appreciation Ceremony for Single Mothers, held in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at Heritage Garden on Tuesday.
The event not only brought cheer ahead of Syawal, but also recognised the strength, resilience, and determination of this group in raising their families.
Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah, said the programme was not merely about celebrating a brand or business, but rather focused on acknowledging the sacrifices and perseverance of single mothers.
“Being a parent is never easy, and single mothers shoulder an even greater responsibility as they work tirelessly to provide love, stability, and a brighter future for their children.
“Their courage and resilience deserve the highest respect and admiration,” she said when speaking at the event.
She expressed hope that such programmes would continue to demonstrate how much can be achieved when the business sector, community organisations, and leaders work hand in hand.
She added that through continued collaboration and mutual support, it is possible to build a society that is not only successful, but also caring, compassionate, and inclusive.
In conjunction with the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration, Mita Cake House also contributed by sponsoring cakes for the families involved, allowing them to share sweet moments together and celebrate the festive season with warmth and joy. -UKASnews
