RM81.3 Million Drives Development In Daro Constituency
MERADONG: A total of RM81.3 million has been allocated for development projects in the Daro constituency to enhance basic infrastructure and support rural transformation.
Daro Assemblyman Dr Safiee Ahmad said among the key completed projects are the rural electricity supply (BELB) project from Sungai Mawan to Kampung Sawai valued at RM21 million, another in Batang Lassa, Matu worth RM7.7 million, as well as a BELB project in Sungai Passin currently being actively implemented at a cost of RM6 million.
“In addition, multimedia facilities such as Wi-Fi connectivity in rural areas are also being prioritised,” he said at a Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri event in Kampung Muara Lebaan on Sunday.
In this regard, he called on the public to continue working closely with the government to ensure development plans are implemented effectively and benefit all segments of society.
He also highlighted the importance of collaboration among government agencies and strengthening the agricultural sector as a catalyst for boosting local incomes.
Dr Safiee added that infrastructure development in Muara Lebaan will continue to be enhanced, including efforts to expand road networks to improve connectivity to Daro and Sibu in the near future.
During the event, he also presented a Special Grant of RM10,000 to the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Muara Lebaan and RM5,000 to Surau Darul Abidin.
In addition, a Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project worth RM150,000 will be implemented to upgrade roads in the village. -UKASnews
