KUCHING: The Hari Raya Aidilfitri visiting tradition continued to be celebrated when Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi paid a festive visit to the residence of Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and his wife Dato Baduyah Bujang in Siol Kandis, Petra Jaya, yesterday.

The visit formed part of a series of Aidilfitri visits by the Head of State and his wife to strengthen ties between the state leadership and civil servants, while reinforcing unity and harmony in Sarawak.

Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah were warmly received upon arrival by Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar, his wife and family members.

Sarawak Attorney General Dato Sri Saferi Ali and his wife Datin Sri Sharifah Ema Fazilla Wan Aidulfitri were also present to enliven the gathering.

The visit was held in a modest yet warm atmosphere, with guests enjoying the opportunity to mingle while sampling a variety of traditional Sarawak dishes prepared by the hosts. -UKASnews
