TERAJU Strengthens Commitment To Bumiputera Development In Sarawak, Expands State-Federal Strategic Cooperation
KUCHING: The Bumiputera Agenda Steering Unit (TERAJU) under the Ministry of Economy has stressed the Federal Government's continued commitment to strengthening Bumiputera socio-economic development in Sarawak through strategic cooperation with the state government.
The commitment was expressed following TERAJU's courtesy visit to Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg which also served to share achievements and directions for Bumiputera development programmes in the state.
TERAJU Chief Executive Officer Junady Nawawi said experiences were also shared on the implementation of the TERAJU Aspiration Outreach which was held two weeks ago.
"Among the highlights of the programme was the launch of the Bumiputera Sabah Sarawak Scale-Up Fund (BSSF) financing programme which provides specialised and holistic financing to Bumiputera business companies in Sarawak," he said.
He said this in a press conference after the courtesy visit at the Satria Pertiwi Complex on Wednesday.
In the same meeting, TERAJU also shared the achievements of Bumiputera development from 2012 to 2025, reflecting the continuation of integrated efforts between the Federal and state governments in empowering the Bumiputera entrepreneurial ecosystem.
TERAJU also expressed its commitment to continue strengthening strategic cooperation with the Sarawak Government as the main implementing partner, especially in ensuring that the Bumiputera empowerment agenda continues in an inclusive and sustainable manner. -UKASnews
