KUCHING: A Rehearsal for the State Banquet in Conjunction with the Opening Ceremony of the First Meeting of the Fifth Session of the 19th State Legislative Assembly Proceeded Smoothly on Friday

The rehearsal was conducted to ensure the smooth running of the banquet, which will be attended by the Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and the Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, this coming Monday.

The session served to review the scheduled performances, ensuring they are executed according to the established protocols appropriate for an official event attended by Sarawak’s top leadership.

Among the highlights to be presented are dance performances by the Sarawak Arts Council dancers and local artists, accompanied by the Sarawak State Symphony Orchestra (SONS).

The banquet is being held in conjunction with the Opening Ceremony of the First Meeting of the Fifth Session of the 19th State Legislative Assembly (DUN), which is scheduled to take place from 11 to 20 May.

The Opening Ceremony of the 19th DUN Sitting will be held next Monday at the Parade Ground of the Sarawak DUN Building.

It will be officiated by the Sarawak Governor, followed by the state banquet at the DUN Banquet Hall (Dewan Santapan).-UKASnews
