Bintulu Division Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme Gets Underway With Wide Range Of Government Services & Activities
BINTULU: The Bintulu Division Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) 2026 Programme officially opened on Friday with a host of activities expected to draw strong public participation throughout its three-day run from 22 to 24 May at Lasar Kenyalang, also known as the Bintulu Old Airport site.
The large-scale programme not only serves as a platform to bring the people closer to various government services, but also features interactive activities, exhibitions and entertainment suitable for the whole family.
The soft launch ceremony of the programme was officiated by Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
Also present were Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, DBKU and Islamic Affairs) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Operation) Datu Hii Chang Kee, Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Administration) Datu Felicia Tan Ya Hua, Bintulu Division Resident Datu Nyurak Keti as well as heads of departments.
The highlight of the programme will take place during its official launch ceremony which will be officiated by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg this Saturday.
As early as the first day of the event, the atmosphere was already lively with the opening of the Bintulu Kitchen & Sales segment featuring a variety of local products and sales offerings, while visitors also had the opportunity to explore the main exhibition, service counters and participate in e-contests at the Sarawak Pavilion Tent.
By evening, the festive mood continued with a range of interactive activities specially arranged to attract participation from all walks of life, including mini games, colouring contests, Sarawak food quizzes and community sports involving local residents.
Adding to the excitement, the atmosphere is expected to be even more lively at night with a Konsert Rakyat showcasing performances by local artistes alongside cultural performances reflecting the uniqueness and diversity of Sarawak’s heritage.
In addition, the Malaysia Cup final between Kuching City FC and Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) will be broadcast live on a big screen around the Bintulu Old Airport site this Saturday night. -UKASnews
