Sarawak Governor & Wife Safely Return From Holy Land
KUCHING: The Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, alongside his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, safely arrived at the Kuching International Airport (KIA) on Friday afternoon after completing the Hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land of Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
Their arrival was received by a line-up of state leaders and dignitaries present to express gratitude for the safe return of the couple after fulfilling the fifth pillar of Islam.
Among those present to welcome the arrival were the Speaker of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah, Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Deputy Cabinet Ministers, heads of government departments, and other dignitaries.
Immediately upon arrival, a brief ceremony was held, commencing with the recitation of doa selamat led by the Deputy Grand Imam of Sarawak Mohd Ihsan Haidzir as a token of gratitude for the smooth journey and pilgrimage performed in the Holy Land.
Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah expressed their gratitude to Allah SWT for the opportunity granted to perform the Hajj and extended their appreciation to the state leadership, government officials, and everyone present to welcome their return.
On the same occasion, the couple also prayed that Sarawak would continue to be blessed with peace, prosperity, and well-being, and that its people would always live in harmony and receive lasting blessings. -UKASnews
