Sarawak Premier Pays Last Respects To The Late Datuk Kamil
KUCHING: The passing of Datuk Kamil Musuari is described as a major loss not only to his family, but also to the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Dato Sri Nancy Shukri who has long received unwavering support from the deceased throughout her involvement in politics and public service.
Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg said the deceased was an individual who served as a constant source of strength, encouragement, and inspiration for Dato Sri Nancy in executing her duties and responsibilities to the people and the nation.
According to him, the absolute support provided by the deceased greatly helped Dato Sri Nancy navigate challenges throughout her career as a leader and elected representative.
“The deceased provided a great deal of encouragement and support to Dato Sri Nancy in the political arena as well as the responsibilities she shoulders.
“I am confident that Dato Sri Nancy will continue her struggle and duties with the spirit and inspiration left behind by the deceased,” he said.
He said this when met by the media after visiting Dato Sri Nancy's residence to pay his last respects to the late Datuk Kamil Musuari here on Friday.
The Sarawak Premier, who attended alongside his daughter Dayang Nurjihan Abang Johari, also spent time meeting with Dato Sri Nancy and family members to convey his condolences and offer moral support to them during this moment of deep grief.
He also prayed that the soul of the deceased be blessed with mercy, forgiven of all sins, and placed among the righteous.
“I would like to express my deepest condolences to Dato Sri Nancy and her entire family over the passing of the late Datuk Kamil. May his soul be blessed with mercy and placed among the believers,” he said. — UKASnews
