MELAKA: The Sarawak Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment (MINTRED) is participating in the Hebatkan Perniagaan Malaysia (HPM) Carnival and One District One Industry (SDSI) Showcase, organised by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), held at the Morten Walk compounds in Melaka from 19 to 21 June 2026.

This participation aims to expand the market network of local Sarawakian entrepreneurs to the national level, subsequently promoting the uniqueness of Sarawak products to a wider audience in Peninsular Malaysia.

MINTRED is highlighting various products from Sarawak cooperatives and MSMEs based on the One District One Industry concept, such as ceramics (women's accessories) from the Kuching District, Borneo Apong Golden Syrup from the Samarahan District, Songket Gedong Sarawak from the Gedong District, as well as various types of Sarawak rice and pepper from the Sri Aman District.

Among the cooperatives and companies participating in this programme are Koperasi Seni Seramik Kenyalang Kuching Berhad, Koperasi Apong Samarahan Berhad, Seri Gedong Songket, and Balau Agrotech.

Through such participation, MINTRED Sarawak remains committed to supporting MSME entrepreneurs, cooperatives, as well as local craft and agricultural industries to continue staying competitive and capable of penetrating wider markets.

The closing ceremony of the programme will be officiated by KUSKOP Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong.
