Sarawakku Sayang Programme Brings Government Services To The People
SIBU: The Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) 2026 Central Zone programme in Sibu from 10 to 12 July will bring together various government ministries, departments and agencies under one roof to make it easier for people to obtain government services directly.
The fifth edition of the programme organised by the Sarawak Government, which will be held at Dataran Tun Tuanku Bujang, reflects the government's continued commitment to strengthening the public service delivery system through a one-stop concept, thereby increasing people's access to various services, assistance and information on the development of the state.
The highlight of the programme is the Opening Ceremony of Sibu Division SKS 2026 which will be officiated by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg on 11 July.
Throughout the three days of the event, visitors will have the opportunity to deal directly with various ministries, departments, government agencies and statutory bodies through the provision of service counters, development exhibitions, advisory services and various government initiatives provided for the benefit of the people.
The programme also serves as a platform for local entrepreneurs to promote their products and services, thus supporting the economic growth of the community as well as expanding marketing opportunities for small and medium enterprises.
As a curtain-raiser, the Sarawak Cultural Night on 10 July will highlight the diversity of the state's cultural heritage through the performance of music, traditional dance and the arts of Sarawak's various ethnic groups.
Among the artists who will enliven the performance are Mawat, Haryati, Ho Kah Sin, Peter Aaron, Jaya Sapetar, DJ Sonic, DJ Dane Teng and the K'Lunan Magat group.
On the evening of 11 July, visitors will be treated to the Konsert Rakyat featuring Bob Yusuf, Ricky Andrewson, Jat Ali, Chien Ngu, Band D'Jaksa, Dayangku Fadzilah, Iwan Dasri, Yadee and Fir Affandi.
In addition, the public will also have the opportunity to participate in various side activities as well as win attractive prizes through lucky draws held throughout the programme.
The SKS 2026 programme is expected to serve as a strategic platform for the Sarawak Government in strengthening the relationship between the government and the people, improving the effectiveness of public service delivery and promoting the development agenda implemented for the well-being of the people throughout the state. -UKASnews
