Sarawak Governor & Wife Grace Mowe Nation Festival In Sibu
SIBU: The Mowe Nation Festival 2026 continues to serve as a platform to strengthen bonds of kinship and preserve family heritage among the Mowe community, which includes members from both home and abroad.
The Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, alongside his wifeToh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, graced the dinner held in conjunction with the festival on Saturday.
The biennial dinner gathered nearly 200 members of the Mowe family from across the country as well as overseas, including Australia and Mongolia, to strengthen family ties, introduce new members, and discuss the future direction of the Mowe community.
Speaking at the event, Organising Committee Chairperson Patricia Mowe expressed her appreciation for the Governor of Sarawak and his wife's willingness to attend the function.
“The presence of TYT Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan not only added prestige to the festival but also reflects highly meaningful support for the Mowe community's efforts in fostering unity and preserving family heritage,” she said. — UKASnews
