MBKS Sets Up Temporary SKDS Application Counter On 15–16 July To Assist Public
KUCHING: The Kuching South City Council (MBKS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Sarawak, has set up a temporary service counter at the Kuching South City Hall, Jalan Padungan to assist eligible members of the public with applications for the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS).
The temporary counter will operate for two days only, from 15 to 16 July 2026 between 9AM and 3PM.
Kuching South Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said the initiative reflects MBKS commitment to providing people-centred services and supporting government efforts to improve public service delivery.
Through this collaboration with KPDN Sarawak, MBKS is providing a convenient location and the necessary assistance to ensure eligible applicants can complete their SKDS applications smoothly and efficiently, he said.
Dato Wee added that MBKS will continue to work closely with government agencies whenever necessary to ensure services are more accessible and beneficial to the community.
Our priority has always been to find practical solutions that benefit the people. We hope this temporary counter will save applicants time, provide greater convenience, and make the application process easier, he said.
Eligible applicants are encouraged to visit the temporary counter during the two-day period and bring along all the required supporting documents to facilitate the application process. - UKASnews
