Meanwhile, Dato Mohamad Yusnar in his welcome speech on behalf of all the residents of the complex expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Toh Puan Fauziah and her delegation for taking the time to visit the welfare home.
"The children here are very excited and happy for Toh Puan Fauziah’s visit, especially in conjunction with the celebration of Sarawak Day which is very meaningful for all of us," he said.
He stressed that, guided by the leadership principles of PERYATIM Sarawak, the complex was established to serve as a platform for nurturing quality human capital and producing a generation capable of contributing meaningfully to society.
According to him, the complex, began operating in 2014 under PERYATIM before being officially named as KKJTHB Sibu in 2021, is currently home to 62 children and supported by 21 staff members.
