KUCHING: The Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar conferred Sarawak State Honours on 154 recipients in an investiture ceremony on Thursday.
Accompanying Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi in the ceremony held at the Astana Negeri Sarawak Hall was his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.
Of the total, 12 individuals were conferred the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak, Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K), including Senior State Attorney of the Sarawak Attorney General's Chambers Mohd Adzrul Adzlan, Deputy Director (Livestock Industry) of the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak Dr William Rovina Nating and Head of the Urban Development Division of the Ministry for Natural Resources and Urban Development (MUDeNR) Forkanizam Dolhadi.
Also receiving the P.B.K were Dr Nik Azim Nik Abdullah, Dr Aini Fahriza Ibrahim, Dr Rokayah Julaihi, Alison Buda, Knot Atok, Samai Bajan, Zaidi Sarkawi, Gerard George Entigar and Thadeus Ling Bartholomew Allu.
Meanwhile, 19 recipients were awarded the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam, Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B), including Major Jeffery Ling Jalak, Associate Professor Dr Ahmad Nizar Ya’akub, Abang Masli Abang Willie, Abang Mat Noor Abang Abdul Samat, Andrew Modol, Hardi Sapiei, Mahathir Mohammad, McWillyn Jiok, Sam Budi, Christhe Mansom and Emelia Tambi.
This was followed by the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak, Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S) was awarded to several recipients including Muhammad Johan Ghazali, Anderson Kalang Lah, Baling Ellison Duren and Bangsawan Jahri.
A total of 21 individuals were awarded the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak, Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K), including Ahmad Nur Irfan Amirruddin, Jungan Buda, Sebastian Kaban Apong and Mellissa Ogang.
In addition, a total of 42 recipients conferred the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam, Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T), while 45 recipients were awarded the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak, Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S).
The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh, Sarawak Federal Secretary Dato Ahmad Nadzri Mohd Hassan, Sarawak Attorney General Dato Sri Saferi Ali, Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Administration) Datu Felicia Tan Ya Hua and other dignitaries. -UKASnews
