IKMAS-CENTEXS Collaboration Expands Exposure Of Students' Technical, Digital Skills
KUCHING: The collaboration between Institut Kemahiran Islam Malaysia Sarawak (IKMAS) and Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) continues to be strengthened to expand students' exposure to technical and digital skills as an added value to Islamic studies.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Senator Dr Zulkifli Hasan said that the cooperation which has now entered its third cohort provides IKMAS students the opportunity to enrol in various skill courses that suit current needs.
"Among the things we are introducing to further strengthen IKMAS is the collaboration of our programmes with CENTEXS where we send our students to attend skills classes such as 'mobile application' (Android mobile), digital marketing (digital marketing), hardware installation and so on," he said.
He said this when met by the media after the 22nd IKMAS Convocation Ceremony at the Sarawak Islamic Complex Hall, here, on Tuesday.
According to Senator Dr Zulkifli, this approach not only allows IKMAS students to follow Islamic studies, tahfiz, qiraat, da'wah and Islamiyyah, but also acquire skills that can be utilised in their careers in the future.
At the ceremony, a total of 129 graduates received their respective diplomas and certificates in Diplomas in Dakwah and Islamiyyah, Diplomas in Tahfiz Al-Quran and Qiraat and Certificates in Islamic Studies.
Since its establishment, IKMAS has produced nearly 2,000 graduates in various fields of Islamic studies. -UKASnews
