Sarawak Showcases Sia Sitok Packages & AirBorneo Fares During MATTA Fair September 2026
KUALA LUMPUR: Travellers planning a Sarawak holiday can enjoy savings of up to 40 per cent through exclusive Sia Sitok Sarawak packages available at the upcoming MATTA Fair September 2026.
Organised by the Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), the promotion will be featured at the Sarawak Pavilion (Booth 1A10, Domestic Hall, Level 1) at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from September 4 to 6.
The promotional savings apply to multi-day holiday packages with a minimum stay of three days and two nights, valid for travel until December 15, 2026.
Complementing the travel offers, AirBorneo will highlight its Sarawakku Sayang all-in fares for flights between Kuala Lumpur and Kuching, starting from RM375 one-way for Economy Class.
The Sarawak Pavilion will house 30 exhibitors, comprising 20 trade operators showcasing holiday itineraries alongside 10 non-trade exhibitors highlighting local arts, handicrafts, culture, and gastronomy.
Featured destinations span southern, central, and northern Sarawak—including Kuching, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri, Niah, Mulu, and Bario.
Key highlights include UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Gunung Mulu National Park and the Archaeological Heritage of Niah National Park’s Caves Complex, alongside the Sarawak Delta UNESCO Global Geopark and Kuching’s recognition as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
STB Chief Executive Officer Dr Sharzede Datu Salleh Askor noted that the campaign encourages domestic travelers to discover diverse experiences across Sarawak's regions.
"Sarawak offers very different experiences from one region to another, and we want travellers to see that there is always more to discover beyond the places they may already know.
"Sia Sitok Sarawak brings these experiences together in a way that makes planning a Sarawak holiday easier, while supporting our local tourism partners who bring these journeys to life," she said in a statement.
The Pavilion will also feature live cultural performances, interactive craft demonstrations, and previews of upcoming events such as the Borneo Jazz Festival, aligning with Sarawak’s Culture, Adventure, Nature, Food, and Festivals (CANFF) tourism pillars. - UKASnews
