21 Students In Jemoreng Receive RM500 IPT Admission Assistance
JEMORENG: A total of 21 students from the Jemoreng constituency area received Admission Assistance to Tertiary Education Institutions (IPT) amounting to RM500 per person.
The contribution from the Jemoreng Constituency Service Centre was presented by the Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya in a ceremony that took place at Kampung Loba Balu, on Thursday.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Jemoreng Assemblyman said education is the best investment in shaping the future of the young generation and expressed hope that the recipients would take advantage of the opportunity to continue their studies.
He also reminded that the aid received should be used to meet education necessities such as the purchase of books, academic and learning supplies.
"I hope this assistance will act as a catalyst to continue striving to achieve excellence in the academic field and then return to contributing to the family, the community and Sarawak," he said.
Datuk Dr Juanda said the initiative aims to help alleviate the financial burden of families in making early preparations for their children to continue their studies at tertiary education institutions.
At the same time, it reflects the continued commitment of the Jemoreng constituency leadership in empowering education as well as expanding opportunities for local children to continue their studies to a higher level. -UKASnews
