Sarawak Energy Extends Dedicated Service Counters To October, Expands Service To Sibu, Bintulu & Miri
KUCHING: Sarawak Energy will extend its dedicated service counters for customers with electricity billing concerns until October 2026, with the service also set to be expanded to Sibu, Bintulu and Miri.
The dedicated counters were initially set up at Wisma SESCO in Kuching from 2 to 4 September, providing a fast-track avenue for customers to raise billing concerns and have their accounts reviewed.
Sarawak Energy said customers may also seek clarification or request a review of their electricity bills through its established grievance mechanism.
“Each case will be reviewed based on their relevant account, billing and meter records, with the findings properly explained to the customer.
“Any meter reading or billing discrepancy identified during the review will be investigated and addressed accordingly,” it said in a statement on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Sarawak Energy said it has identified 22 customer cases in relation to recent billing concerns raised on Facebook.
“Of these, 20 customers have been engaged, one newly received case will be followed up and one customer could not be contacted based on the information available,” the utility company added.
Customers with other billing concerns are encouraged to contact Sarawak Energy directly for review and follow-up.
Those seeking a further review of the amount charged may also submit an appeal with relevant supporting information, while flexible payment arrangements may be offered to help customers manage their accounts.
Customers may also raise concerns, make enquiries and provide feedback through the Sarawak Energy Cares Facebook page, its Customer Care Centre at 1300-88-3111, email at customercare@sarawakenergy.com, the SEB cares mobile app or the nearest Sarawak Energy customer service counter. -UKASnews
