KUCHING: The Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) paid a courtesy call on Election Commission (EC) Sarawak Director Abang Noraffian Abang Ibrahim at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar here on Thursday.

The UKAS delegation was led by its Director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan, accompanied by senior officers from the agency.

The visit provided a platform for both parties to strengthen working relations, particularly in communication, information dissemination and inter-agency cooperation.

It also provided an opportunity for UKAS and the EC Sarawak Office to exchange views and share information on their respective roles and functions.

Both parties also discussed potential collaboration on programmes involving communication and the dissemination of information to the public.

The visit reflected their commitment to maintaining good working relations and strengthening communication channels to support the accurate and effective dissemination of information.

Also present were EC Sarawak Deputy Director Hamfatullah Syawal Hamdan and EC Sarawak Assistant Director Nurshaima Napis. -UKASnews
