SarawakPass Marks New Milestone With State-Federal Integration & Digital Ecosystem Expansion
KUCHING: The Sarawak Government has announced a new milestone in the development of SarawakPass following its successful integration with MyDigital ID as well as its expansion into corporate services through single sign-on (SSO) integration with SEB Cares, Sarawak Water and AirBorneo.
To mark the integration with MyDigital ID, the Sarawak Government and the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) exchanged commemorative mementos at the Sarawak Pavilion in conjunction with the International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2026, here on Monday.
The Sarawak Government was represented by Sarawak Civil Service Digitalisation Unit (SCSDU) Director Datu Grace Huong Siew Hung, while NACSA was represented by its Deputy Chief Executive Noursilawati Abdul Halim together with MyDigital ID Sdn Bhd Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ir Ts Azrin Aris.
The exchange was witnessed by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg together with other distinguished guests.
According to SCSDU in a statement, the integration with MyDigital ID was successfully implemented this year following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sarawak Government and NACSA on 28 November 2025 to strengthen State-Federal collaboration.
“Through the integration, SarawakPass users can scan a MyDigital ID QR code to access participating Federal web services, while MyDigital ID users can scan a SarawakPass QR code to access participating Sarawak web services.
“In the coming months, the integration will be extended to selected MyDigital ID-enabled mobile applications, enabling SarawakPass users to access these services through SarawakPass,” it said.
In the same statement, MyDigital ID Chief Executive Officer Nik Hisham Nik Ibrahim said the integration marks a significant milestone in efforts to build a safer digital environment for the public, with MyDigital ID currently serving 14.1 million users through 203 integrations.
“Through this integration, SarawakPass brings the trust of the national identity foundation closer to the people of Sarawak, tailored to Sarawak’s own needs.
“MyDigital ID congratulates the Sarawak Government on this milestone and looks forward to continuing our efforts to expand this ecosystem together,” he said.
Meanwhile, SarawakPass has also expanded into corporate services through integration with SEB Cares, Sarawak Water and AirBorneo, with their participation in the digital ecosystem acknowledged through the presentation of plaques to representatives of the respective companies.
Datu Grace said SarawakPass aims to make digital services easier to access by bringing more convenient online services together through a single trusted login.
“I am pleased that SarawakPass has been successfully integrated with MyDigital ID and has also expanded to AirBorneo, SEB and Sarawak Water. We hope to bring more service providers on board as we build a more connected digital service ecosystem.
“The future of government is not about asking people to find the right service, but about understanding their needs and bringing the right service to them securely, transparently and with their consent,” she said.
As more organisations and services come on board, SarawakPass will continue to grow in support of the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030.
“Beyond single sign-on, it serves as a service-enablement platform, supporting consent-based information sharing and more personalised and proactive service delivery,” SCSDU said.
Launched at IDECS 2025, SarawakPass serves as the state’s trusted digital gateway, providing secure and seamless access to a growing range of digital services.
Through SarawakPass, the Sarawak Government aims to deliver more integrated, accessible and user-centred services, improve ease of doing business, and support the growth of the state’s digital economy. -UKASnews
