Datuk Len Talif Respects Party Decision On PRN Candidate Selection
SARIKEI: Any decision made by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) regarding candidate selection for the Kuala Rajang Constituency (DUN) in the upcoming State Election (PRN) will be fully respected for the sake of the party and the people.
Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh — who is also Vice-President of PBB Sarawak — stated that he values the trust placed in him to serve the constituency over three terms spanning 15 years.
According to him, he stands ready to accept whatever decision the top party leadership makes, while remaining prepared to continue his service if given the trust once more.
“I am still ready to continue serving if given the mandate once again, particularly to ensure that ongoing development plans can be completed for the benefit of local residents,” he said.
He said this when met by the media after officiating the closing of the Legal Advocacy Programme on the Domestic Violence Act 1994 at the Sarawak Government Administration Office, Sarikei Division, here on Saturday.
Datuk Len Talif noted that candidate renewal is part of PBB's established practice, giving new leaders the opportunity to shoulder responsibilities and drive the development agenda in line with current needs.
Meanwhile, he expressed his appreciation to the Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg for the trust accorded to him throughout his tenure as an elected representative.
He also emphasised that continuity in Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) leadership remains crucial to ensuring the state’s development agenda, particularly the execution of high-impact projects, can proceed uninterrupted for the benefit of the people. — UKASnews
