Women Of Impact Forum Set To Spotlight Grassroots Changemakers In Sarawak
KUCHING: The Women of Impact Forum 2025 is set to gather women leaders, community advocates, educators and civil society champions at the Borneo Cultures Museum Auditorium on Saturday, offering a meaningful platform to highlight women driven efforts that continue to advance social progress in Sarawak.
Carrying the theme “Driving Social Change”, the Forum will be officiated by Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof. The event aims to recognise women who serve communities with integrity, compassion and quiet courage.
A distinguished list of speakers will anchor the programme, including internationally recognised transformation expert Dato Sri Idris Jala together with his son Leon Jala from the Game of Impossible podcast.
Other speakers include the first Asian President of the International AIDS Society and current Chief Executive Officer of Monash University Malaysia, Dato Professor Adeeba Kamarulzaman, retired Court of Appeal judge Datuk Yew Jen Kie and, co-founder of Yayasan Chow Kit and the first South East Asian focal person for the United Nations Relief Work Agency, Dato Dr Hartini Zainudin.
The Forum will be moderated by Datu Dr Rashidah Bolhassan, known for her extensive contributions in public service, community knowledge leadership and cultural advocacy.
Designed in a candid living room style format, the event will feature eight keynote storytellers who will share their journeys, their work on the ground and their insights on leadership, resilience and authentic approaches to social transformation.
Organisers expect the Forum to spark constructive dialogues, encourage collaboration across sectors and strengthen the network of women change makers across Sarawak.
